Relax, unwind & let the stress of the morning float away...From 6th October Blacktown Aquatic Centre will conduct a lunchtime Yoga class every Monday between 12pm-1pm. Yoga classes consist of gentle stretching, correct breathing techniques, yoga postures and relaxation. Improve your mind & body awareness, increase your flexibility & help aid in stress management. If you can't make a lunchtime class, Yoga is also available at 5pm Tuesday & 6.30pm Thursday. Classes cost $11.00 per session. The Prospect Heritage Trust Inc's Guest Speaker, Paul Storm, will give a talk entitled 'On Tour'. This is mostly tourist ephemera dating back to pre WW11, some even pre WW1. Paul's interest in this subject came out of his stamp collecting hobby, when he started to notice strange, interesting post marks from unusual tourist sites. Some of his pieces include cards, labels and stickers from country's such as Switzerland and Italy, but also from ships and hotels.

The Boot Camp Cadets program for children aged 6 - 16 years kicks off on October 13 for 5 weeks on Monday and Wednesday nights. The cadets program is split into 2 categories on the Monday and Wednesday nights. Children aged 6-11 will participate in the junior program from 5.30PM to 6.30 PM and seniors aged 12-16 will be from 6.30 to 7.30. Boot Camp Cadets is a military inspired exercise program developed specifically for growing bodies. The program will challenge all aspects of your children's health and fitness combining the benefits of one on one training with the camaraderie of group exercise. Our motivated leaders will encourage and guide participants through an intense workout incorporating callisthenic exercises such as pushups, jumping jacks, sit-ups with running, boxing, pool activities and military style drills to help children lose weight and get fit whilst having loads of fun. The purpose of this program is to create a fun non-threatening atmosphere where children feel safe and confident, participate in a workout while learning more about their bodies, nutrition and healthy living. Little Legends is a 10 week physical and social development program for children aged 3-5 years. Your children will learn different sports each week through a series of drills, skills and games and will develop their: Motor skills Social interaction Confidence Creativity Coordination The program cost $70 and encompasses 10, 2 hour sports themed sessions incorporating music, games and learning tools. Giving your child a kick start in basic movements such as catching, throwing, passing, kicking, the list is endless. We are holding 2 free trial days on Wednesday 8 October and Friday 10 October between 10AM and 12PM

Bookings are essential. $15.00 per person ( Payment MUST be paid by 1st October) as payment and a list of visitors must be forwarded to The Sydney Harbour Federation Trust two weeks prior to our excursion. Maximum number for the guided tour is 20 people.Book early so as not to be disappointed. We will travel to the city by train and meet up at Circular Quay where we MUST catch the 10.45am Parramatta River service which will drop us off at Cockatoo Island in time for the 11.15am tour. This will be a 1 1/2 hour walking tour, which does have ONE short, steep incline. If you would like to come for the day out with the group but are not sure about the full days walk, a self guided brochure is available for $2.50, which means you can walk a little or as much as you like.Lunch is BYO in the picnic area or dine at the Muster Station Caf'e
